CoreFTP Lite

This shows the file 'birthday' inside directory 'cake'.
The dotted line under "Permissions" shows it has file Properties of 0.

Right click the file, and select Properties at the bottom.

This is the 'CHMOD' box. You are going to alter the file properties.
The box that pops up has 2 methods of entering the correct number.

Tick the boxes, or enter the required number, and then click OK.

Refresh the directory if you need to (click the circular arrows just above where I have obscured the filepath).
You will now see that the dotted line shows the permissions you have applied.
That file has been CHMOD'ed to 766

Hidden Files.
To see them, bring up the Site Manager (the up/down blue arrows in the image).
On the right of that box, is an 'Advanced' box.
Click that, and this image appears.
Check the box indicated and click OK.

Now you can see your hidden files.
If this did not work, disconnect from your site, and before reconnecting, ensure that you followed this last step.
