I've used GoDaddy for I'm not sure how long. I've only ever registerd my domains there and only because I'm cheap and bought most of them during a sale of some sort. But on a personal side, I've never had any problem with them. Their support staff is always very eager and helpful and always very personable on the phone. They answer emails quick and their admin panel for domains is very easy to navigate.

I did a search once for the cheapest domain register and landed on Aplus. From what my friend said, they were ok to use, but when I helped her set custom nameservers and route a domain to her LiveJournal, it was a very involved and confusing process. Clearly, cheap, not always the win.
