No matter how I see it they are using a blunt instrument on people simply because they can. I suppose it's close to when they let Blogger and spammers go nuts and instead of actually doing something constructive they gave us the utterly useless 'nofollow'. So now they stifle because they cannot be bothered to actually be inventive. But then Google IS ads. I don’t get their reaction at all.
