I was in a little discussion group and I brought up that particular little concept -- it got a few chuckles and a number of OOOoohhh GROSS!! comments...  That was 5 or 6 months before I got my new lungs and the little "discussion group" was our lung transplant support group...

Looking back on things -- it wasn't that bad really...  My lung capacity was 10% of expected for a few years before I got my beautiful new lungs...  Some of my last pulmonary function tests said it's at around 110% of expected now!  In the grand scheme of things -- it's worth hocking up a few of someone else' loogies...
