Testing a connection

You know when you need to test a dvd player/TV connection, am I the only person who doesn’t just grab the closest one but who selects one based on what mood I’m in? Am I alone in doing this despite the fact it’s only a few minutes of the film I’ll see?

I can perfectly understand this. You want something you actually want to look at. It’s not just seeing if there’s a signal, it’s checking how it would feel to watch a film. And that is best done with something you’d actually watch if you wanted to /had the time to at that moment. Makes perfect sense.

No no, you can’t just put on any old rubbish.
Although, from experience, it might be better to choose something really cack. Or you’ll end up watching the entire damn thing with the rest of the living room still in ‘new TV re-wiring’ chaos.
