Cheese and pineapple on sticks

must mean that it’s D’s birthday today :) :)

She’s 15 and unsurprisingly enough, she was up and downstairs before 8am today. Every other day of course she’s up around noon – I’m assured it’s tiring being a teenager these days. New trainers have been part of the birthday experience, as has phone stuff, some cash and other bits and bobs.
Highlight though was the cake. Incredibly sickly icing-type covering but hey – it’s Dougal !!!!

I had a cake like that a couple of years ago when I was living in Bristol over the summer. I had to eat most of it by myself. It was gooood though. Is your’s a kind of butterscotchy-toffee type affair?

Trainers = Nike type stuff, but cheaper, and more ‘in’, and more seen on kids trying to look cool as they ‘hang’ with their mates.
D’s shop of the moment, and they are on the left: http://www.rollersnakes.co.uk/

*ahem* I actually now have a cake, Sarah insisted I have considering the circumstances, and it happens to be the very same cake. I found it a bit astonishing when I read on the box “caramel buttercream (51%)”
